This week, both state representative Jeff Irwin and Jeff Hank of the Coalition for a Safer Lansing call in calls in to discuss the topic of decriminalizing the use of marijuana in Michigan. Later, Ben Duke of the 4th Culture Studios joins Berl in-studio and we listen to an interview with state representatives Andy Schor and Sam Singh.

This week Bill Mathewson, general council member in the Michigan Municipal League calls in to elaborate on the Open Meetings Act, Berl speaks with Alice Brinkman, founder of the REACH Studio Art Center, who calls in to discuss the accessibility of art within the school system, and Gail Philbin talks about big agriculture and what it’s doing to our farmland. Later we hear former and current mayor, David Hollister and Virg Bernero, talk about the budget for the city of East Lansing.

Dan Krier from MSU Athletic Communications joins Alex to discuss the latest news on the MSU basketball team including Gary Harris being named Big Ten’s freshman of the year.  They also give end of the season player rankings, and discuss the Tom Crean outrage following their win against Michigan.  Alex has open lines to close the show, as he also gets into Detroit Lions free agency possibilities and a goon of the week.
