The Loft in Lansing, MI is where the Impact 89FM recently celebrated their 24th Birthday with Wayne Szalinski, The Lansing Unionized Vaudeville Spectacle, and Frontier Ruckus. There was great Lansing bred music, good beer, plenty of dancing, and hugs among friends. The Impact was lucky enough to have photographer and all around heartthrob Matt Radick there to document the shenanigans. Look at all of these great shots!
Impact 89FM’s General Manager/Bossman/Prince, Ed Glazer, was the MC of the night. Look how snazzy he looks, pretty damn snazzy.
Wayne Szalinski opened our birthday bash. The boys from MSU crooned and made us all swoon. Their bassist, Ian, did the metal thing and played even though he was suffering from a righteous cold. Take that immune system!
The Lansing Unionized Vaudeville Spectacle put on quite the show. They brought together equal parts theatre, folk, sing-a-long, and a giant Mitten mascot. These guys and gals grabbed the attention of the room very quickly.
The Headliners, Frontier Ruckus, did not disappoint. They brought their A-game to this homecoming show. Blending fan favorites with new tracks from “Eternity of Dimming” (Review Here!). The crowd was lively and singing along with these soulfully folky jams.
All in all it was a swell night. We are honored to have been apart of such an awesome set.
Thank you to everyone that came out and a big thanks to all of these amazing bands.
Please be on the look out for a great Fruckus interview coming TOMORROW!
Love,
Impact 89FM
